MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
The next Weekend of Service is coming April 29-30, 2017!

Once again North Coast Church will leave the building to serve in the community. This area-wide event will impact local communities and neighborhoods in a big way, with more than 10,000 expected participants from North Coast Church providing the manpower on an estimated 600 projects at more than 125 sites in Carlsbad, Fallbrook, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Camp Pendleton and Ramona.

All services at each of our five campuses will be cancelled the entire weekend as we demonstrate the love of Jesus by tackling community service projects of all shapes and sizes.

  1. 1
    WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

OUR MISSION …changing how people think, both inside and outside the church. The Weekend of Service provides us the opportunity to grow as disciples by getting out and actively showing people the love of Jesus. By cancelling church and tackling major projects, we are learning that church is about more than just the four walls. Throughout the year, people from North Coast Church already serve all over our community, but the Weekend of Service is our chance to make a huge splash by tackling major projects. We want to show our community the love and support of North Coast Church, and honor the name of Jesus.

    HOW DO I SIGN UP?

You will be able to sign up online and on all campuses during weekend services starting April 1, 2017.

  3. 3
I’VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. WHERE DO I START?

We have a project for everyone! You can browse projects by city or type. Please note that many of our projects do not require any particular skill – just a willing heart and a pair of hands. We even offer “Light Duty” and “Family Friendly” projects. You’ll be able to sign up for morning or afternoon time slots on either day. You will have a Project Manager and/or Team Leader to guide you along the way.

  4. 4
WHAT ABOUT KIDS? CAN WE BRING THEM ALONG?

Yes! Look for a “Family Friendly” project where your kids can work alongside you. Kids can make a great addition to the serving team, provided the projects match their maturity and skills. You’ll know best what project will be a good fit for your family. As a Growth Group, you may decide to designate someone to stay with very young children, so everyone else can be free to serve.

  5. 5
    IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE?

If you are working a Saturday or Sunday AM Weekend of Service shift, register for FREE child care at the Vista Campus. Child care is available for children, ages 6 months to 5 years between 7:30am and 12:30pm April 29 & 30 when preregistered. Child care spots are expected to fill quickly so don’t wait.

  6. 6
WHERE WILL THE PROJECTS BE LOCATED?

All projects will be conducted in North San Diego County cities, including Carlsbad, Fallbrook, San Marcos, Oceanside, Vista, Escondido, Camp Pendleton and Ramona.

  7. 7
    DO PARTICIPANTS GET T-SHIRTS?

T-shirts will be available with a $5 donation, but are not required to serve. Yes, you can wear your shirt from previous years!

  8. 8
CAN I SIGN UP FOR ANY SERVICE PROJECT?

Yes. Anyone can sign up for any service project. And you can sign up for more than one shift and more than one project. In fact, many of the Saturday volunteers last time were so excited about seeing the project through– they came back on Sunday to help! It’s fun to meet and work alongside new faces for the common goal of serving our community.
