This was the third year our site was chosen for the Weekend of Service. Again, it was an amazing event, and we had such a wonderful time.  Everyone worked so hard. Several people were signed up for Saturday, but came back on Sunday to help finish up the project they started. Words just cannot express how grateful I am for the service that was provided to us. Our project manager, Kevin, was amazing. He made sure everything was organized and people were busy, he even brought us a new tetherball and basketball net, which was “not on the project list" because what we had was in such bad shape.

When the children came to the center on Monday, they were overwhelmed with excitement. Kevin and Bruce even took the time to work with some of the teens who come to the center. They did a few extra projects and designed the teen room. They also let them paint, as well as use power tools. These kids do not have very many positive male role models in their lives, so it really meant a lot to me that thye got to see all the guys, young and old, take time to volunteer and make a difference.

God revealed himself by giving us extra man power when we needed it and allowing us to complete way more than the honey-due list.
